Enilolobo and the Resuscitation of Defunct Factions

The last time I checked, both BATCO and Mandate Movement are defunct as both have been disbanded by the Lagos APC Apex leadership body, the GAC. Both factions, plus the Justice Forum which were disbanded at two different times, came after a joint resolution, following a critical analysis and the dire need to unite the party in the state.

While BATCO was disbanded in 2002, both the Mandate Movement and the Justice Forum were dissolved on the 9th of June, 2020. In a desperate bid to truncate the process of uniting the party, the erstwhile Lagos APC Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo is on an aggressive move to resuscitate both the BATCO and the Mandate Movement under a new umbrella he tagged, BATCO Mandate. As party loyalists have continued to ask questions on the move, it is still a mystery why the initiator of this deceptive assignment would consider names that have been disbanded. It would be recalled that following the dissolution of both factions, strict warnings were issued that whoever patronizes himself or promotes party activities under any of those names would be penalized. Regardless, Enilolobo, under the orders of his principal, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has taken it upon himself to challenge the party and proceed with relaunching the dissolved factions, as reports have it that he has begun registration of members across the state under the name stated earlier, BATCO Mandate.
The hurried move to register members of his faction across the state further validates the rumor that both Aregbesola and Enilolobo are on a desperate move to break out from the party and move the hijacked members to their new party which is yet to be undisclosed.

To have a total grip of the new structure, and in his usual style, Enilolobo has declared himself as the group Chairman, announcing that BATCO Mandate is the only recognized faction in Alimosho Federal Constituency and that any other group is void and baseless, without substance in Nigeria's largest Federal Constituency. With the series of crises both Enilolobo and his principal are creating in both Alimosho and Osun, one could decode that both men are set to exit the party and are working on how to do so with lots of other gullible party members.

Jokingly, an onlooker said, for Enilolobo to declare himself as the leader of two, not one, dead groups are his stylish way of acknowledging the death of a political career.Alimosho Liberation Movement Media .
