Where Are the Promised Votes? - Ejigbadero Reactions have continued to trail the ongoing collation exercise of presidential results in the just concluded general elections in Abuja, after seeing the tension and turn of events in the just concluded general elections.  While the development has sparked jubilation in some quarters, it has called for questioning in others - both parties and non-party members have expressed mixed concerns. With the current happenings, Lagos State appears to be one of the most hit states, alongside Osun, Gombe, Yobe, Katsina, Imo, and a host of others which are currently APC states but have lost to the PDP and the Labour Party. In the current scheme of events, Alimosho Local Government, which used to be described as Tinubu Country was also lost to the Labour Party, which polled over 57,000 votes against the All Progressives Congress which polled a bit over 52,000. According to a party chieftain, Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero, "this outcome of the pres...

Sanwo-olu Berates Adebajo, Condemns Actions as Party Chairman Rules Out BATCO Mandate In recent time, the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has witnessed lots of internal crisis which has led to what many described as the end of the party in the state, is gradually receiving attention following the recent call for reconciliation by the leadership of the party in the state. The crises have been attributed to several factors which include; imposition, disregard for party members, deceit, poor communication system, poor leadership amongst others. These challenges have largely reduced the popularity and acceptability of the party, and by extension, reducing its chances of victory in the 2023 general elections, as some observers have cited the party's recent loss of Osun as a warning and a hint of what is to come in the forthcoming general elections, if not properly addressed. Topmost among the aggrieved are the aspirants in the recent local government elections acros...

Enilolobo, On Whose Mandate Are You Standing; Bola Or Rauf? At the slightest opportunity, this has always had been the one 🕐  been th🕐🕐e deceptive anthem of Enilolobo and his loyalists, that was the only proof of defense they gave to attending the pro-Osinbajo rally at Ibadan where they 'forgot' to print as small as a 3 by 3 feet banner for Asiwaju, on whose 'mandate they stand' even when the two tendencies in Lagos, Justice Forum and Mandate Group, had agreed to drop this divisive tendency and work together as one for the good of the Yorubas.  Enilolobo can never imagine a situation where their most potent weapon of deceit will be surrendered. Well, 'irọ wọn ti lọ l'ogun ọdún. Òtítọ si ti ba l'eni'. This question may not be necessary as it will be stupid of any right thinking politician to believe whatever answer Enilolobo will give, if at all, he would say anything. The glaring fact that many unfortunate individual will still deny is that, at no poi...

Trip To Ibadan: Enilolobo, Council Chairmen Plot To Break Party, Remodel BATCO Mandate

Trip To Ibadan: Enilolobo, Council Chairmen Plot To Break Party, Remodel BATCO Mandate In our expectation for an issue-based defense, we repeatedly read the empty article proudly put up and signed by one Opeyemi Babatunde in defense of the shameful trip being sponsored by his principal, Hon. Sulaiman Jelili to and fro Ibadan in support of the Vice President's presidential ambition under the guise of a Progressive Youth Summit. It is disappointing that even after reading about five times, we still could not make a tangible point from the tripe. The above got us wondering if the entire hogwash was truly worth the 15 hours it took Opeyemi and his colleagues to come up with a response to our disclosure on their trip to Ibadan. While we maintain our stand that, like every other Nigerian, they have the sole right to support whoever they desire to follow, we would also want to advise them on the need to shun hypocrisy and double-dealing which we understand to be a ...

According to him, it was a well attended and successful summit. The big questions remain, what was the objective of the summit? Who were the organizers and financiers of this 'succesful' summit held a year to the general election? Answers to the above may be easily located within the report of the actual activities that happened at the venue of the event. As expected, beautiful speeches were delivered and every participant moved freely around to socialize, as normal, within the attendant youth. As the program was ongoing, there were several banners of only one presidential aspirant displayed and even taken ...
