Yayi Is a Son of Ogun, Lagos Borrowed Him From Us ~ Gov. Dapo Abiodun

No amount of words can express our appreciation and gratitude to the benevolent people of Ogun for sparing and lending us, in Alimosho Federal Constituency, their adopted son, in the person of Sen. Solomon Adeola Olamilekan aka Yayi for well two decades. We, truly can't thank them enough for the truly served Lagos and Alimosho. As rightly put by the number one citizen of Ogun in a viral video at an occasion held somewhere in Ogun, where Gov. Dapo Abiodun described Yayi as the son of Ogun whom the state is currently lending Lagos. We wish we could say otherwise, but we want to acknowledge the fact that it is truly time for the Senator to return home and do for his foster family what he did for the good people of Alimosho. Alimosho appreciates his contributions in every way he might have affected its people and the region. When the time comes, we would do all we can to help his ambition in his new region. May God continue to help the good people of Ogun West as they welcome back their own for the 2023 race in the state.

In the same vein, we are appealing to any interested state willing to tow the path of Ogun to step forward as we have another son whom we would gladly return to any desiring adopter. While we affirm his origin to Ijebu, we would not like to narrow our transfer to Ijebu since it is also part of Ogun and would not like to make it seem like a rejection of both sons to the same state. With one voice, we want to say another big thank you to Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo aka Eyes-Open for his untraceable services to the people of Alimosho. However, in the absence of any show of interest from any other state, we would be left with no option other than to return the lawmaker to his origin. While the lawmaker earlier has shown full readiness for his transfer, we are appealing to the latter to position himself for adoption as the 2023 election draws near. Being a product of Lagos politics, we do not doubt that he would be hurriedly taken over by the fastest state.

Come 2023, the good people of Alimosho would like to make fresh choices in all its legislative offices both at the state and national levels across Alimosho Federal Constituency.

Once again, we heartily thank both lawmakers, Sen. Yayi and Hon. Eyes-Open, for serving us the way they did. God bless them both as they leave the stage for new brains.
