Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo
Eyes-Open: A Legislative Deficit
Alimosho has never been this unfortunate. Taking away 8 political years from the life of a constituency is not a good tide - we have never had it so bad. Alimosho House of Representative member, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo who was pushed to Abuja in 2015 by the Alimosho Hawks against the interest of the people and the party, has displayed his much-expected non-challenge, ineptitude, and unimaginable absence of the knowledge of the legislative duties. Olufemi Adebanjo has not disappointed some of us - we predicted it, and it is working exactly as predicted.
Olufemi was once a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and later became the chairman of the Alimosho Local Government. During that period, he displayed gross incompetence that the party leadership at that time complained bitterly about and got him replaced. Moreso, as the head of Alimosho Local Government, he was so engrossed romancing the late NURTW State Chairman, Alhaji Saka Saula to the extent that he used the late Saula to warehouse most of the council funds.
Little wonder; he dribbled us to force Hon. Ahmed Obadina as a councilor and subsequently the leader of the House in Alimosho Local Government as compensation for the illicit funds the house leader's late father kept for him.

| Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo, an inefficient legislator and chronic gambler |
One can only imagine how such a statement could come from a person entrusted to the largest constituency in Nigeria.
This month made it his sixth year in Abuja, yet Adebanjo cannot point to a single bill he has initiated, or a motion to support any bill. Adebanjo is a benchwarmer in the NASS. He was quoted to have said that, he had paid his dues to the leadership of Alimosho, and that he had no responsibility to other party faithful and constituents.
In his 6 years in Abuja, Adebanjo has upgraded himself by building 2 exotic houses in Asokoro in Abuja, owning several vehicles both in Lagos and Abuja. This randy Honourable sent his wife of several years packing only for him to resort to taking in a wife of a far younger fellow struggling to survive at the Ikeja Computer Village.
We need to ask this man to stand up to his responsibility as his presence in the NASS is largely a deficit to Alimosho Federal Constituency and its residents though some people have argued that the serial gambler, a drug addict cannot do better.
