APC Primary election: Yayi Draws Battle Between Self and Tinubu
Yayi Kicks As Tinubu Orders All-Inclusive Government In Alimosho, Vows To Upturn Arrangement
The recently concluded APC Primary election has raised so much dust in some quarters and has set in calmness in other camps. Contrary to the earlier style of leadership and position sharing system where a minute group selfishly decides what operates in Alimosho Federal Constituency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu intervened ensuring that the various groups and factions are adequately represented in government at the grassroots level.
Before the election, several reports were stating how Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo summoned Chairmanship contestants, requesting them to step down their ambitions with a promise that he would give them some other appointments. He was so confident about his promises that most people considered him to be as powerful as the State Governor. His gimmick was to subdue them to make way for his anointed candidates, from whom he had received millions of naira with a solid agreement that they would do more and remain answerable to him when they eventually emerge.
In one of their secret meetings, Yayi
was heard saying, "Alimosho was better under Aregbesola than what we have just seen with Asiwaju. We can now agree that Aregbesola was a Messiah, though was not appreciated when he was with us". He went further to say, "Aregbesola was very diplomatic in handling issues and he did it so well that we never experienced any form of glitch throughout. For the very first time that Asiwaju intervened in Alimosho issues, the result has continued to remain a slap on the leadership of Alimosho. He has humiliated and downgraded the existing system and has further caused division among the electorate".
Other attendants at the meeting, agreed with his submission and sought a solution to the menace. They described HE, Adejoke Orelope as an intruder and had just been given a title and responsibilities she cannot handle. Yayi added that he would do everything possible to upturn Asiwaju's arrangement, describing it as one that could not hold waters and could not see the lights of the day. He boasted that with his appointment into the GAC, he would work for the interest of his faction and that the other groups would soon be humiliated and sent to political oblivion.
True to his threat, Yayi has continued to spend millions of naira in his efforts to fulfill his promises to members of his faction. He bribes anyone he thinks could be instrumental in his bid to realize the dream of retrieving Alimosho and returning it to the old slavery and bondage.
Undoubtedly, Yayi's desperation is working against his future ambition and the essence of his faction.
