Enilolobo's Court Threat, Nullity

Jelili's Suspension; Enilolobo's Court Threat, Nullity

It is funny how the one who declares himself strong, cries intimidation. Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, the Alimosho, self-declared and acclaimed Apex Leader threatens to go to court over the suspension of his stooge, Hon. Sulaiman Jelili, Alimosho Local Government Chairman. Enilolobo was reported to have challenged the authority of the Assembly over the suspension.

Earlier this week, the Lagos State House of Assembly issued an indefinite suspension to the local government chairmen of Alimosho, Surulere local governments and Lekki LCDA for disobedience, total disregard, abuse of office, financial impropriety among others. The Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa said the suspension shall remain until investigation into the allegations is concluded.

Prior to the suspension, Enilolobo had always bragged about Alimosho being in his pocket. The suspension of Jelili was a blow to Enilolobo and his camp. He has, however threatened to go to court to challenge the legitimacy of the suspension. It is surprising how despite his acclaimed political experience and status, Enilolobo does not know the strength and coverage of the powers of the state Assembly.

Obviously, even without uttering it, it is evident that Enilolobo is gradually conceding defeat. We would, however not forget to remind him of his pledge to quit politics if the Liberation Movement wins two wards in the coming council election.
