Council Election: Enilololob Concedes Defeat
Enilolobo Begs Aspirants to Join Camp, Promises Juicy Appointments
The one-time pompous self-imposed Apex Leader, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo has finally conceded defeat. Enilolobo had, for a very long time, claimed superiority and ownership of the entire Alimosho Federal Constituency and its residents.
When the going was good, Enilolobo dictated whom his loyal followers should see and who they must not associate with. He was powerful that some politicians, jokingly agreed that his loyalists needed to seek his permission before they could mate with their spouses. Enilolobo was, truly that powerful. He was also very confident of his might that he said if the Alimosho Liberation Movement could win two wards in the coming Council election, he would resign from politics.
However, things have taken a new turn for Enilolobo as the one time Alpha and Omega of Alimosho politics is swiftly losing grip of his followers and authority. This began with the breaking out of Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero and Prince Idris Balogun aka Oluomo Katata from his camp. Since the exit of both men, Enilolobo has been losing popularity and respect even among his loyal followers.
Recently, it was reliably gathered that Enilolobo has been sending messages to party members, including aspirants believed to be having some kind of with the Alimosho Liberation Movement. In his message, the former leader pleaded with the recipients of those messages to attend a meeting with him. He also promised that he would offer them juicy positions if they agreed to join forces with him against the Liberation Movement.
In the past few months, Enilolobo has held several meetings with individuals and groups he had never recognized when the going was good for him. He has hosted people from the Hausa Arewa community and the Ndigbo as well. He has met with traditional title holders and commoners. To Enny, every individual is now a VIP and must be treated accordingly. Suddenly, his pride has dropped and he is now a friend to everyone.
The story of Enilolobo and Alimosho leaders is a sign that power is, truly transient.
