Governing Council Federal Appointment

Enilolobo Brawls For Relevance

For anyone who read the old book, Animal Farm, written by George Orwell, there is this epic saying that those who read it would always remember - all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. Out of excitement and joy, we announced the appointment of Black Knight and congratulated him on his appointment into the Governing Council of Polytechnics and Colleges of Education. Yes! We did in jubilation and celebration of an active, leader, elder, and freedom fighter. Despite avoiding the media noise and publicity, Elder Dayo Adebayo has contributed immensely to the emancipation struggle, right from the beginning to the present point. Black Knight, as popularly called, is no doubt, a silent achiever and a disciplined go-getter.

While his appointment came as a blow to people who believed they were in total control of Alimosho, our congratulatory message was never a show of strength, rather a reconfirmation of the impact and correctness of our noble struggle. Results, they say, don't lie. Amazingly, in a bid to flex muscles, one Alani, who did not know about the appointment until three days after and his Boss, Enilolobo who still does not know what the entire appointment is all about, flung into the media space to claim some cheap glory and popularity. Even while we still do not see the entire stuff as one for competition, we still consider it necessary to clarify that even in royalty, there is class.

Perhaps, a very few onlookers noticed the difference between what Alimosho Liberation Movement is celebrating and the nullity being hyped by Alani and his cohorts. Sincerely, without bitterness or ill-feelings, we congratulate both Gbadebo and Owoseni on their appointments into the Governing Council. According to Alani, Enilolobo influenced two Federal Government appointments in Alimosho. He went further to name the appointees as Hon. Gbadebo Nojeem and Mr. Owoseni Ayodeji Oluwaseun, being appointed into the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (Tech) Bichi and the Federal College of Education (Tech) Umunze, respectively.

The sensible question to ask is, who is Enilolobo or who does Enilolobo know to have facilitated Federal Government appointments? Aside, Yayi and Aregbesola, who does Enilolobo know? It would have been more logical and reasonable for Alani to have said, Aregbesola aided the appointment of so and so, and not crowning the glory on his principal, Enilolobo. Once again, beyond Alimosho, who is Enilolobo? Very soon, we should expect Enilolobo to claim to have installed a President in Nigeria. What a rant!

Is it not laughable how a man who could neither influence nor facilitate a state appointment, claims to have influenced Federal Government appointments? The Alani we know never allows events to end before he breaks his news. How comes he is just waking up to the realization of the Federal Government appointments, facilitated by his principal, three days after its announcement? The only explanation is that those gentlemen got their appointments from places Enilolobo knows nothing about. Funnily, Enilolobo is trying to claim the glory of their appointments since they are also residents of Alimosho. Alani could have done better by congratulating both appointees in his weak article but, imprudently, he prioritized Enilolobo's mention over the beneficiaries and the appointments.

That being said - as earlier stated, we are not in any form of competition with fellows who have always been identified with celebrating frivolities and failures. While Enilolobo and his weak-minded followers are celebrating ordinary members of Governing Council in Federal Colleges of Education, Alimosho Liberation Movement is celebrating Black Knight's appointment as Chairman, Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil & Gas. I guess in all ramifications, the difference is wide and loud.

Meanwhile, we wish all the appointees success in their new callings and also wish them bigger offers. Finally, we want to appeal to Mr. Gbadebo Nojeem and Mr. Owoseni Ayodeji Oluwaseun not to allow Enilolobo and his followers to drag them into their net of their sinking ship. As members of the Governing Council, they have so much ahead of them to offer, as their appointments did not come from the influence of some power-drunk fellow but as a result of competence and their past achievements. If Enilolobo, truly believes he is worthy and influential, he should influence one of such appointments for himself. Enilolobo is not only uninfluential but also unqualified for any public appointment.

A new dawn is here. The long awaited freedom is here
