 RE-OBASA'S SCHIZOPHRENIA CONTINUE TO BE FED BY COLONIAL PRIDE

When people are paid to run down a perceived enemy or opponent, they ought to be careful or smart enough not to end up destroying their employer by writing stories that will further expose the greed, callousness and stupidity of their paymaster. Have some people forgotten so quickly that effect of EndSARS had made people to wise-up? We are now in a freer society where everyone can easily 'Sọ̀rọ̀ Sókè'.

To start with, politics is a game of interest, in which case, every politician pits his tent where his interest will be best protected. That Alimosho, under the leadership of Enilolobo, has been in serious crisis over the last 3 years is a fact that cannot be contested. The Veterans, also known as, I-No-Go-Gree, had been having a serious battle with the Hawks in Alimosho over the reign of terror they suffered from the self-acclaimed Apex leadership style in Alimosho. One will imagine, who are the calibre of people that lead the Veterans? They include, the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, HE Adejoke Adefulire Orelope, some pioneer Council Chairmen, Councillors and Supervisors, some pioneers, party leaders and a host of others in Alimosho when Enilolobo was a nobody in the scheme of things in Alimosho and several loyal progressive party members who had paid their dues. The battle was fierce and the veterans were almost having the day before the Enilolobo-led faction employed thuggery and violence to carry the day. Even at that, he had to go into alliance with this same "schizophrenia" Obasa to up turn the decision of the then Governor on the issue of Council officials. Then, Obasa was not "schizophrenia", as long as the wicked interest of Enilolobo is intact, abi? God punish the devil.

Again, during this period, Ejigbadero provided the shoulder on which Enilolobo rested to protect his political interest but today a paid writer calls him a land grabber. So, Enilolobo did not know him as a land grabber then or what? Meanwhile, that author is even accusing the Lagos State Government of not being able to protect her citizens from land grabbers, if truly, Ejigbadero is one. Well, we are not Ejigbadero's solicitor, but if his father is accused of murder, does that make the son a murderer? Can people really lose their senses of reasoning simply for money?

Anyway, even Asiwaju, our respected leader had been accused, severally of being a crook without any evidence. But what we all know today is that, Asiwaju is the brain behind this new Lagos which we all celebrate. I think that justifies the sayings of our forefathers that, 'nínú ìkòkò dúdú, ni ẹ̀kọ funfun ti n jáde wa". Ejigbadero maybe another wonderful leader in the making, because if he too must have seen why the Veterans went to war with him. Moreso, it is not possible for all of us to understand issues the same way at the same time. What matters is that, when you know the truth, you will be free.

That funny author also accused Obasa of contributing to the early exit of Pepperito - what a pity! Where were you when Pepper and co woke up and stripped Baba-Eto of the defunct Mandate Group of his leadership position, giving it not to Mandate Two, but to Enilolobo? Maybe that was what killed Badmus too! When we all gathered to crucify the former Governor, HE Akinwumi Ambode, it was this same Obasa-led house that was probing and probing and even denied him of the appropriation bill. Ambode never fell sick let alone kicking the bucket. We are all humans. Do you think Ashafa was happy being denied his second term ticket? Why not accuse him? Perhaps, you think Ashafa does not know how to die. Today, Pepper is no more and we would rather not join words with you in talking ill of the dead. But the simple question remains, who is a saint in the game of politics?

It is pertinent we remind Enilolobo

and his cohorts that there is no permanent champion anywhere, but current champion and anyone who does not flow with the current trend will be consumed. Today, Obasa is the trending champion and, no amount of false accusations can bring him down. He was placed there by God and His, alone, it is to remove him.

Mr writer, are you now saying Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban Borgu, is not wise that he cannot easily identify a friend from a foe? Are you insinuating that a man navigated the muddy political waters of Nigeria to install the first opposition President is confused to know the antics of his political disciples? Asiwaju is a legend that cannot be confused by political contractors like Enilolobo and co. If, truly, like you claimed, that Aregbesola is a reliable ally and an inseparable confidant of the national leader, have you wondered why he was stripped of his powers in Lagos only and forcefully relocated to Osun?

As for your comparison of the State Speaker to a past party youth leader whose reign is now well over a decade, it only shows the level of confusion in the heart of the writer. If Enilolobo was truly reliable and productive, he should have been elevated beyond the grassroots championship and seen at the top.
