Famuyiwa Proved Edafe Right

An old saying describes guilt as an open wound. The moment a man begins to avoid talks about certain issue, it is an indication that there is more to the issue that he would rather not talk about, and as such, whenever anything related is mentioned, he feels uncomfortable and openly displays his anxiousness.

The other way round, an innocent man would stop at nothing to prove his innocence without any form of violence or intimidation. The recent physical assault, intimidation, harassment, false accusation, and arrest meted on Mr. Edafe Oghenebrume, the Chief Editor of Agbado-Oke-Odo Compendium by the sitting Chairman of Agbado-Oke-Odo, Engineer David Famuyiwa, on Friday, December 18, 2020, has not only exposed the weakness of Famuyiwa but has also shown that the allegations are not far from the truth.

In recent articles,  Edafe has repeatedly exposed the gross mismanagement, misappropriation, and siphoning of funds in the council. But instead of absolving himself of the allegations, Famuyiwa resorted to violence and intimidating Edafe.
It is quite unfortunate that a political office holder who would go round town to seek support and votes from residents could openly push forth his deviltry by showing the same people that he is not only intolerant but also an autocrat.

It was reported with video evidence that Engineer Famuyiwa ordered his orderlies to manhandle Edafe and in his bid to indict Edafe, he claimed the journalist came to the council with petrol and match sticks, threatening to set the council ablaze. After mistreating Edafe, Famuyiwa used his influence to instigate the arrest of the former by men of the Ile Epo  Police station and also immediately facilitated his transfer to the State Criminal Investigation Bureau, Panti Street, Yaba. 
Famuyiwa is desperate and shallow-minded, and must face the consequences of his insensitivity and wickedness. By this poorly thought action, Famuyiwa has invited global attention and this would, no doubt, make him popular as a corrupt and irresponsible leader in  the heart of Alimosho, Lagos.

It is imperative to notify the Chairman that his claims are weak and that his actions towards the journalist have only unmasked him for further investigation and that he has personally placed a searchlight upon himself.

We, therefore, call on all well-meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of Edafe Oghenebrume and also help Engineer David Famuyiwa in gaining the cheap attention he is seeking.
