Alimosho Leadership Under Emperor Enny

Jokes apart! Let's face it, squarely!
How could someone defend illegality and stealth, if he is not criminal minded?
Why would someone prefer to remain in thrall when freedom is obtainable?
These and many more questions come to mind considering the motives behind the blank defense from some hungry followers who try to justify the unjustifiable.

For years, the people's will and political powers have been snatched from them. The electorate no longer have a voice of their own. They have to wait for someone to give instructions before they can cast their votes. Even when they have a preference, they would have to jettison their choice for the dictators'. Even when they do not like the imposed candidate, they dare not say No and they cannot do otherwise.

For years, Alimosho electorate have been divided and even under the same party, they operate and are treated differently. When a party member has the privilege of meeting with the leaders, the leaders ask to know whether the party member is with them or with a different group. Inside the same party, fah.

A candidate comes out and declares his intention to vie for an elective post. The leaders hear of it and advise him to withdraw; they make a series of sweet and juicy but empty promises to make aspirants abdicate their ambitions. And, if he or she insists on pushing forth, they threaten, humiliate, ostracise, condemn, relegate and tag him or her. They paint him as the black sheep, just for expressing his constitutional right. Afterwards, he or she is boycotted from taking part in all party activities. If he is adamant and still wants to remain in the group, he is decimated and rendered valueless and worthless. There are a series of examples around for all to see.

Under his watch, no politician in Alimosho ever holds a contrary opinion or view. All members do as he says. This is not only dictatorial but also alien to democracy. Even the elected are at his mercy. He decides whom they associate with and those they must never be seen go near; as far as Alimosho politics is concerned, Enilolobo is the alpha and the omega - you do anything contrary to his orders, you see yourself fall from the cliffs.

Ordinary party members are placed under strict surveillance, as a few loyalists are stringently monitoring them to see where they go and who they see. Your fundamental rights are no longer free. You do as you are told.

Still under Enny, we have seen great party leaders reduced to nothingness. As Oga feels threatened by their political resumé, credentials and wealth of experience both in administration and public relations, he shields them from being noticed and reckoned with. They would be accepted only if they are ready to be submissive and do exactly as they are told. It is under Alaye that we have seen past Council Chairmen become errand boys. His former Bosses have suddenly and mysteriously become his vassals, as they have been political demystified and stripped off their powers. Serving political office holders operate in their respective offices as he instructs.

You do anything contrary, you dare the Boss. If you seek relevance, you must have your hands behind you and head bowed before Enilolobo.

He is the demi-god of Alimosho politics. Funnily, there is apparently no record to show that the popular apex leader has ever held any political office.

On several occasions, we have asked questions for facts validating his occupancy as the Apex Leader but instead of answers, we have continuously received insults, blackmails and threats. Poor us! Little did we know that asking to know that which we know not, is a challenge of the Boss' authority and powers.

Again, we have refused to be intimidated and quietened. We have chosen no to be muted. We seek to know the following:

What is the constitutionality of the post, Apex Leader?

What are the criteria that qualifies anyone for the apex role?

Does it have a tenure? If yes, what is the tenure?

What are the duties of the apex leader?

Was Uncle Enny appointed, elected or imposed?

Who were those that agreed to his placement?

Lastly, beyond mobilising people to pass votes of confidence on the leader, we would appreciate having a list of some of the dividends that Alimosho Federal Constituency has enjoyed under the leadership of the Apex Leader.

Sincere answers to these simple questions should clear the airwaves and, at least, keep the agitators muffled.

Our agitation is neither for humiliation nor for depositioning Emperor Enny. It is simply for good governance and all-inclusiveness.
We want Alimosho decentralized.
We want the electorate to have their voice again.
We stand for equity, fairness and justice.
We want a greater Alimosho.
We want an Alimosho for all!
